At the entrance to Lagos, and located in the countryside on the eastern side of Lagos, is the small enclave of Odiaxere. A small village with a sleepy past, Odiaxere has a small number of bars and restaurants, which waft, with the fragrant mix of the salty Ocean and orange groves. One of the benefits of accommodation in Odiaxere is space – historically the land in this area has been inexpensive, and this has meant that properties tended to be constructed on the larger side, and often with private tennis courts and large private pools.

If you require more than a sleepy stay in the Algarve, you will have to travel out of the village, but once you have done so, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the local facilities and amenities. Holiday accommodation in Odiaxere will therefore appeal to people of all ages and interests, as this is a perfect base location for exploring the rest of the Algarve, and taking advantage of what the Western Algarve has to offer.
