Situated 5km west of Portimão this Championship Standard Course has tight fairways with concealed water a frequent hazard. Penina has hosted the Portuguese Open recently and is a great test.

Alto Club

Midway between Alvor and Portimão, this gently undulating course between the Monchique hills and the Atlantic is the most recent of Henry Cotton’s designs. It has the longest par 5 in Europe at 604m. Ideally situated to play with Penina, Palmaras and Boa Vista.

Morgado
18 holes – par 73 – 6400m
This is a brand new course (open in 2005) set behind the Penina courses, halfway to the Monchique hills. Wide open fairways, fairly level, lots of bunkers protecting the greens. Nice clubhouse, generally quiet as not yet well known.
Driving range, token bunker chip & putt, golf shop, lessons, trolley & buggy hire.
A recognised handicap certificate: Max: Men 28, Ladies 36.
