10 Million Euro painting not for sale.... With the theme of "affordable art", a mini art show entitled ‘Artist Awake‘ is taking place on the 29/ 30th September at office services agency ‘HandyAlgarve‘ which is located 30 meters from Carvoeiro post office near Jailhouse Rock Club.

Organized by ‘HandyAlgarve‘ owner Rafaela Sousa and local artist Den Miles, the show takes original paintings and offers them direct to the public with prices all at €25. All paintings will be signed by the artist on the reverse side to give an air of ‘mystery‘ as to who painted what, so that the painting is appreciated in its own right rather than merely because of an artist's ‘name'.

The show will feature a mini mum of 100 original paintings (all sized approximately 21cm x 30 cm) and all will be for sale at the show. Any local artists, young, old, rich, poor, famous, infamous are all welcome to submit their works for the exhibition and should contact or visit Rafaela at HandyAlgarve in Carvoeiro.

"I have been", says Den Miles "saddened in recent years, that original art has been over-priced and out of reach for most people, we hope this minishow will do something to restore the balance." The exhibition is open from 1pm until 8pm; on September 29th, there will be wine and cheese available on the first day for visitors from 6pm onwards. A small entrance charge of €1 is being made, with all proceeds to local charity. For more information call Rafaela Sousa 282 354 189 or 916072342 Den Miles on 968 740 970
