Portugal to host World Cup?.... While Spain hosted the football World Cup in 1982, the formulation of a joint bid with Portugal could prove successful as the two countries are likely to receive support from "allies" in Latin America and Africa that will go a long way to ensuring the Iberian Peninsula is the venue of the prestigious tournament in 2018.
