Located in the picturesque village of Praia da Luz, approximately 5km west of Lagos, the Estrela da Luz resort is within 1 hours drive of Faro International airport and only 200m from the beach.

Praia da Luz is famous for its beautiful beach, fine restaurants and of course, its wonderful coastline - including the famous Luz Rock! This old fishing village manages to combine the charm of it's past days, with all the demands of a modern holiday destination, and the village provides an entrance to one of the most popular destinations on the Algarve coast.

Estrela da Luz is set on a gentle incline, within landscaped surroundings, right in the heart of Praia da Luz. The resort comprises 146 apartments, and the luxurious accommodation ranges from studios to three bedroom apartments all with fitted kitchens, private balconies, underground parking and satellite TV. Many apartments have Ocean views and also overlook the outdoor pools: an adults only pool, a family pool and a children's pool. The outdoor pools are surrounded by sun beds and sun umbrellas and served by the Gazebo poolside bar, providing snacks and drinks throughout the day.

The Hugo Beaty Café & Bar serves food from breakfast to light bites, daily specials and freshly prepared sandwiches. In the evening it transforms into a chic bar and with an extensive selection of wines and beers offering a great place to relax. At the rear of the bar is the Steve Davis Club Room (only for adults) where you can play pool, cards or watch live sport on the big screen TV.

Estrela Health & Beauty Club comprises both pampering and exercise facilities. The Techno Gym gymnasium, designed by John Aldridge has been designed to accommodate guests ranging from the absolute beginner to the well conditioned and features a wide range of the latest equipment. The exercise studio offers daily classes and our team of trainers are on-hand to assist in training needs or you can undertake more gentle exercise in the indoor pool.

After all your hard work, relax in the Jacuzzi or sauna or book yourself an Elemis Health and Beauty treatment. There is a multipurpose sports area which is suitable for football, volleyball and basket ball and professional coaching can be booked for the tennis court (supplement charges apply). The children's playground provides a safe play area for young explorers and the Kids' Activities Club will keep them busy during the summer holidays.

A regular courtesy bus runs from Estrela da Luz to Lagos town centre and on to the sister resort of Jardim da Meia Praia>, giving you the chance to explore Luz, Lagos, and other areas of the Algarve.

Estrela da Luz is an exclusive resort of Studio, 1, 2 , and 3 bedroom Apartments. The Studio have either a double or twin bedroom, or sofa bed, and 1 bathroom. The 1 bedroom apartments have either a double or twin bedroom with 1 bathroom, whilst the 2 bedroom apartments have 1 double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and 1 twin bedroom with use of a second bathroom. The 3 bedroom apartments have 1 Master double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, and 2 twin bedrooms sharing a further bathroom.
