The weather in the Algarve is good all
year round. It is perhaps a better destination for young children
than some of its hotter Mediterranean cousins, as temperatures in
the high season are kept a little lower by its position in the
Atlantic. Even so, sun-worshippers won’t be disappointed, and you
can expect long sunny days and warm balmy evening between May and
October.
Good resorts for families with young
children include Praia da Luz,. Carvoeiro, Vilamoura and Vale do
Lobo. Families with teenagers may prefer some of the larger towns
such as Albufeira and Lagos with more in the way of nightlife, shops
and cinemas.
