All about Dunas Douradas
Dunas Douradas is situated between Vale do Lobo
and Quinta do Lago, in an area generally recognised as one of the most
prestigious on the Algarve coastline. The resort consists of approximately 380
properties and takes its name from the golden sand dunes which form the barrier
between the resort and the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Dunas Douradas is set
within some 70 acres of pine forests and is approximately 20 minutes drive from
Faro International Airport.
The facilities at Dunas Douradas are excellent and
include a large roman-style pool with separate circular children's pool, and a
poolside bar for snacks and refreshments. There are also tennis courts, a
children's play area, several excellent restaurants and a 24 hour reception and
security patrol service. Many of our villas and apartments in Dunas Douradas
feature cable or satellite television and there is a small supermarket which
provides an excellent array of local and imported food-stuffs. The central pools
at Dunas Douradas are supervised during the summer and there are also regularly
organised tennis competitions. The beach, which is within 10 minutes' walk from
many of our properties offers some of the best beach bars and restaurants in the
'Golden Triangle' area.
